There are ‘free’ blue badge parking bays located at the White Hart restaurant, Shippon Studios and at Meadowbrook car park (near the Shops). They are on a first come, first served basis and cannot be booked.
All other blue badge spaces are within main car parks and parking in these spaces requires payment (see the ‘getting here by car’ section above) or a validmembershipwith a parking permit.
From Exeter: From the M5, take the Plymouth (A38) road until the exit signposted to Totnes, Dartmouth and Kingsbridge. Turn left onto the A384 and shortly after the Dartington village sign, turn left at Dartington Church and follow for 1 mile. The main car park is on the left.
From Plymouth take the A38 up to the A385 turning, signposted to Totnes, Dartmouth and Kingsbridge. Then as above.

Our modest parking fees enable us to keep the Gardens free to all, and provide vital funds for on-going maintenance of the estate’s roads, footpaths, buildings, grounds and gardens – we appreciate your support in this.

Parking is free for motorcycles – look for the designated motorcycle parking areas (core estate only).
Electric vehicle charging points: The core estate car park has two 7kw units and two 22kw units. The Shops at Dartington car park has three 7kw units and one 22kw units. All units are available on a pay-as-you-go basis via theevcharge.onlineapp.
