Making Sense of Spirometry - 28th January 2022, 2pm to 4pm
Course Aim :To provide an overview of interpretation of spirometry and apply this to clinical scenarios from Primary Care
This virtual interactive 2-hour training is aim at any
health care professionals who manages patient with respiratory symptoms and/or
conditions and wishes to understand more about spirometry. A systematic
approach to analysing traces and basic recognition of the indices and graphs
which indicate a normal, obstructed, restricted or mixed patterns will be
covered. This will then be applied to respiratory clinical scenarios such as
those shown above.
The training is delivered by Judith Magowan who is the
Long-Term Condition Lead at Okehampton Medical Centre where she set up and has
been running a diagnostic respiratory clinic for some years. Judith has been
delivering training in respiratory conditions and spirometry for more than
10years with Plymouth University, The Training Hubs and the ARTP.
This course is being delivered virtually and delegates will be sent meeting details in the week before the course.
